About Us

Kip Mcgrath at Balestier is one of the latest to join the Kip Mcgrath family.

In line with the Kip Mcgrath philosophy, our target is to help students who are weak in their school subjects, in particular Maths and English.  Many students don't do well in their studies because of a lack of interest in the subject.  When they don't do well, they lose the motivation to improve and it becomes a vicious cycle.

Our hope is to be able to get these students interested in their subjects and hence do well eventually.  

What We Do

Our dedicated and experienced teachers are all NIE-trained and are experts in their respective areas.  We aim to get the students interested in their subjects and motivated to do well through the use of a variety of activities, including computer assisted learning.

Each session of 90 minutes passes very quickly for the students when they are involved in the various learning activities.  In fact, they do not even realize that they are learning when they are having fun !

Besides Maths and English, we also help students who are weak in Reading and Spelling.  We also have a series of newly launched enrichment programmes which include a course for nursery students who are starting school, and one for adults who want to learn English as a second language.
